Demons Are Real

Demons are real according to the Bible, but  Christians ignore demons because they either don't believe demons exist or  they are fearful of the mention of demons.  Yet, demons are the number one enemy of Christians. Demons are here to destroy and kill us.  It time for all Christians to wake up and fight demons with prayer.

Thank you for viewing this teaching blog.  I encourage you to comment and share with others.  God bless  you all!

Demon Spirits                                                                                                                     Tony 11-6-26

Demons are not discussed in church services or by the body of Jesus Christ.  Pastors very rarely preach a sermon on demons or spiritual warfare because of theological differences, fear of audience reaction, and fear of losing church goers.  Yet, Jesus’ ministry included confronting evil spirits and casting out demons throughout His ministry.   We fail to cast out demons and we are being destroyed because we ignore the knowledge in the Bible.  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6.  The knowledge written in the Bible. The knowledge needed for spiritual warfare. The knowledge needed to bring us out of captivity

Jesus had three primary spiritual practices used to bring people out of captivity as it is written in the Great Commission and it includes addressing demons.

1.    Teaching the Gospel – And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, Mark 16:15.

2.    Casting out demons as commanded by Jesus – Anger, hatred, rejection, bitterness, unforgiveness, unloving spirit, slander, lying/deceiving, pride, divination spirit, spirit if fear, death and dumb spirit, and a mute spirit etc. Key point here is if you have one evil spirit, you will have several demons as with …He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons, Mark 16:9.  Jesus sent out a legion out of the man, And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea Mark 5:13.

3.    Praying for one another to be healed, confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much., James 5:16. Pray without ceasing until they are healed, pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17.  Jesus was not the only person praying. He taught the disciples and others to pray and how to pray effectively.

The above is in the Great Commission. It is not an option to ignore by the body of Jesus Christ.

Mark 16:14-18 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands (pray) on the sick, and they will recover.” If the body of Jesus Christ would just understand why God sent Jesus and Jesus’ purpose for mankind Chrisitans and non-Christians.  Luke 4:43 but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.” Luke 4:43

Jesus Casts Out Unclean (demon) Spirits

Mark 1:23-24 Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” – “Let us alone “us means there are more than one demon.  “He cried out” meaning the unclean spirit/demon cried out through the person.  The demons acknowledged Jesus by saying “I know who you are” and “Did you come to destroy us” meaning there were more than just one demon.  The demons knew God’s Son and the demons knew Jesus could cast them out.

Mark 1:25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” 26 And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. – “But Jesus rebuked him” means Jesus exercised his authority over the demons.  “Be quiet” means to stop talking.  Why is this important to Jesus and all Christians?  Because Satan and his crew are liars, John 8:44 For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies (Do not speak or have conversations with demons).  “come out of him” means Jesus had authority from God to cast out demon spirits.  The same authority God has given to Christians to cast out demon spirits in the Great Commission in Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons.

It is unbelievable why the churches and the Body of Jesus Christ are not doing what Jesus did and taught in His ministry.  What is the disconnect?  Is the Bible not crystal clear?  We say we are followers of Jesus.  We say we want to be like Jesus.  We say we want do as Jesus did. Why are we not doing what Jesus instructs us to do. Is it because of unbelief?  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16.  Perish means to break down or rot.  This means people will break down and rot as with sickness and disease because we don’t believe.

We must understand that we can cast out evil spirits, but evil spirits will want back in and they will come back in because we allowed them back in because of sin. Luke 11:24-26 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ 25 And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order. 26 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” Evil spirts will reside in us as we get older.   How can we know this?  Take notice of your increased health symptoms. We must identify evil spirits like fear/stress/anxiety, rejection, anger, bitterness, gossip, slander, hatred, and many more.  We have allowed evil spirits in because of our disobedience (sin) that have resulted in sickness and disease.

Serious About Being Healthy?

None of the people in the Bible who had demons were healthy.  The same holds true for us. We are attacked by Satan and his crew 24/7.  Example: Stress/anxiety/fear does not disappear when we go to bed.  Evil spirits will torment, entice, lie, tempt, and draw us in and persuades us to sin that cause sickness and disease.

Curses on Disobedience

Disobedience is SIN! Deuteronomy 28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses (sickness and disease) will come upon you and overtake you.  Our sins invite Satan and his evil spirits to torment us. Nobody is exempt from the attacks of Satan and his crew, but God, through His Word, sent His Son to set us free, So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” John 8:31-32

God does not want us to be sick and diseased because of our sin. John 5:14 “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”  “lest a worse thing come upon you” refers to sickness, disease that can lead to death.  Start praying throughout the day and night to counter the attacks of Satan and his fallen angels.  Amen and Amen!
