What Is The Church Teaching You

What Is the Church Teaching Us or Not Teaching Us?

1.      A very important teaching Jesus taught us before He died on the cross is the commandment to carry out the Great Commission in Mark 16:15-18 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. The church teaches the gospel, but I haven’t seen a church/congregation carry out the Great Commission in its entirety. I haven’t seen anyone casting out demons or effectively praying for people so that they may be healed, James 5:16.  It is not an option to leave out parts of the Great Commission.  The Great Commission is key to eliminating sin that causes sickens and disease (Deuteronomy 28:15-68).  We must mirror what Jesus did in His ministry.  Why are we not doing this?

2.      Does the church address the multitude of people, including pastors with tattoos in the church? Leviticus 19:28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.    Do tattoos help make you Godly?

3.      Has the church/congregation ever told you where sin comes from?  Deuteronomy 28:15, 15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses (sicknesses and diseases) will come upon you and overtake you.  There is a prophetic warning (“it shall come to pass), and a condition (“if you do not obey”). Disobedience is the cause of sin.  It started with Adam and Eve who disobeyed God and ate the fruit.  That opened the door of the curses of disobedience leading to sickness and disease.

4.      Who is your Lord?  In a religious context, it often refers to the question of who or what one believes in as their ultimate authority or source of guidance and power. 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.  How much time do you give to God each day?  Is God truly your Lord? Can you identify your Idols that we prioritize over God?  Money, TV, phones, internet, sports, exercise, shopping, entertainment, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.

5.      Cell phones – The average adult spends 5 hours and 16 minutes on their phones.  A 14% increase from 2024.  The average teenager spends 12 hours a day on the phone.  Many lonely elderly people only have their phone for company because family does not have time for them.  People cannot put their phone down.  Trying taking the phone away from them and they start jonesing. Phones are the biggest addiction in the world and people don’t recognize phones as addictions that take us away from God

6.      Are you aware of all the Christians that have Netflix, HBO, Prime and watch movies that have nude scenes? Is this a topic of discussion with fellow Christians and church sermons? Matthew 6:22-23 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!  We must change our ways and hold each other accountable.  We can’t shy away from sin.

7.      Addictions.  Addictions have a cause.  It is rooted in not feeling loved and fear of not being loved.  It’s called an unloving spirit.  Addictions attempt to fill that unloving void from mankind.  Man’s love is conditional and not perfect.  God’s love is perfect, 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

8.      Demon Spirits.  Why does the church ignore demon spirits?  Jesus addresses demons in His Great Commission 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; Demons are evil spirits. We are in captivity because of demon spirits like, fear, anger, unloving, unforgiving spirit, bitterness spirit, death and dumb spirit, the Gadarenes man who had legion of demon spirts, in Revelation16:14, and many more.  Why are we fearful of demons and why are we not addressing this in or out of church?  Are we fearful of demons? Yes!

9.      Adultery – Matthew 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  This verse is specific to men.  God created beauty in the face of women.  Once the man’s eyes look below the neck, temptation comes into play and leads to lustful thoughts. Has your church taught on this subject?

10.   Who is head of the family?  Who do the children go to first.  It is the mother in the majority of families because men chose to take a secondary position in the family contrary to scripture.  The father is out of order according to 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.  The father’s love for the children has been compromised because of the order in the family.  Survey Facts: Over 90% of the children have never heard these words from their fathers growing up, “I love you.”  Or if they did, the children did not believe them because of the way the father treated them.  This results in an unloving spirit that leads to additions.  Do you think this needs to be addressed in the church?

11.   Bible in Church.  Do you open up your Bible to substantiate what is being taught or do we take it for granted?  Acts 17:11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

12.   What are you hiding?  One of the biggest fears we face each day is what you are hiding.  Hiding what you don’t want anybody to know about you because of the fear of guilt, shame, judgement.  This is over the top captivity from fear because Satan reminds you of what you are hiding every day. Jeremiah 23:24 Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. Stop hiding your sins that torment you! Confess your sin and ask God to forgive you each day until it goes away.

13.   The Jezebel spirit at work today and God warns us of this very evil spirit in the Old and New Testament.  Queen Jezebel working through King Ahab was almost totally responsible for the corrupting of an entire nation.  This principality has come full force against our nation and the world.  Jezebel threatened to kill Eligha 1Kings 19:3. Ahab wanted Naboth’s vineyard, but Naboth wouldn’t sell so Jezebel had him stoned to death, 1 Kings 21:14.  Jehu came to destroy Jezebel and she tried manipulate Jehu who ultimately had her thrown off the tower, 2 Kings 9:33.  Jezebel is not a gender spirit, but Jezebel works primarily in women. She is about complete control.  Jezebel literally translated means “without cohabitation.” The Jezebels of today are called narcissists. They are one and the same and Jezebels are ruthless manipulators. Jezebel literally translated means “without cohabitation.”  How does Jezebel factor in today’s world?  Well, the spirit is still at work and manipulating the church and the Body of Christ at every level.  The corrupt church is given a harsh warning: Revelation 2:20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.  The Jezebel spirit is working in the church of today and the church is blind to it.

14.   Is the church a praying church?  Is there prayer for the captives (prisoners) before, during, and after service?

15.   Accountability – Are we and the church holding ourselves accountable?  Ultimately, you will be held accountable at the judgment seat of Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.  We cannot cower when bringing correction to the Body of Jesus Christ!

The Seven Churches: Loveless Church, Persecuted Church, Compromising Church, Corrupt Church, Dead Church, Faithful Church, Lukewarm Church.  All seven churches mentioned in Revelation may be found in the church of today.

The famous phrase “Houston, we have a problem” originated from the Apollo 13 mission in 1970.  The Body of Jeus Christ has a problem as well and it started with the disobedience of Adam and Eve. The problems in the church needs to be fixed and God has all the fixes in His Word IF we obey.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.    We must want to make it right with you God.
