Hate

Word Origin 12th Century

I don't think we truly know the meaning of hate and self-hatred. Yes, we have man's definition, but we don't truly understand what it means and what it does to us. Most will say "I don't hate" or "I don't have self-hatred." Yet, our symptoms from sicknesses and diseases are saying otherwise. We can't be effective in ministry if we don't know how to identify hatred.

Hatred and self-hatred can be defined as ill will and resentment towards others or self. Looking at this definition, it is easy to connect to what hatred we have towards others and ourselves, whereas before we have denied hating anybody including ourselves. How often have you heard a person say "I don't hate them" or "I don't hate myself?" Well, your sickness and disease symptoms are sending us a message of hatred.

Another word to describe hate is dislike.  Again, when you ask someone if they hate others or self, they usually deny that they have hate.  But if you ask the question “Do you dislike others for what they do” or “Do you dislike what you have done in your life?” Using the word “dislike” helps us to identify what our true feelings (hate) towards others and self are.

Ill will or dislike towards ourselves can be:

Regrets

Physical Appearance

Lack of Accomplishments

Failures

Lack of Education

Sin

Not compassionate

Difficulty Showing Love

Not Worthy to Be Loved

Hardness

Anger Issues

Feeling Rejected

Not a Good Father

Not a Good Husband

Not a Good Mother

Not a Good Wife

Depression

Feeling stupid

Not as Good as Others

Hopelessness

This produces ill will/dislike (hatred) guilt, shame, self-condemnation, bitterness, anger, and unloving of others and self. We beat up ourselves spiritually resulting in physical and emotional sickness and disease. Again, this is called hatred of others and self, which we fail to acknowledge as hate. We are missing the point if we don’t identify hate (dislike). We must deal with hate in our lives. This knowledge is critical for bringing people out of captivity so that we may be healed, confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous, James 5:16).

Hatred and self-hatred are roots that contributes to sickness and disease:

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior, Ephesians 4:31.

Conclusion: Hatred is sin.  God wants us to confess this as sin, we ask God to forgive us, and we repent). If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9 Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.

Addictions

Remember, one can be addicted to almost anything: drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, food, shopping, diet, exercise, or anything to distract us from the feelings of being unloved.

Each person is created to know and to receive God’s perfect love.  When people have not received true, unconditional love as a foundation, they are always in search of getting a need fulfilled.  The need-to-know God’s love can open us up to look for love in all the wrong places.  This need leaves us vulnerable to the deception of Satan, who seduces us into believing the world offers us a better substitute.

Unloving Spirits

Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

The unloving spirit rejects everything God has said about you in His Word (you are fearfully and wonderfully made) and replaces with Satan’s blatant lies.  These deceptions will prevent you from loving God, loving yourself, and loving others.  It blocks you from receiving this love as well as from giving it.  Many of us have not grown up in a godly, loving environment.  This hinders us from and early age in receiving the very love we crave so much.

The unloving environment is a result of the spiritual leader of the house, the father, not knowing how to convey God’s perfect love, 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. The father was not taught by their father how to convey love to their children and even their wife. This can go back many generations. Children need to hear these words everyday “I LOVE YOU.”  It’s a declaration to the children, wives, the heavenlies and it tells Satan that God’s love is greater than his lies.  “God’s perfect love casts out fear,” the fear of not being loved.  So, the children have “not been made perfect in love” which results in constant torment “because fear involves torment.”  Again, the fear of not feeling loved.

When a person feels unloved, there will be rejection, abandonment, self-rejection, self-hatred and anger.

What Makes Addiction a Sin?

You are saying through your actions that God is not able to meet you needs.  Your heat says: “God, I need a fix that you cannot supply.  I will get it myself.”  Our comfort must be in God, not in people places, or things, especially addictions.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Fear means being afraid, scared, worried, anxious and concerned that a bad thing is going to happen.  It is projecting into the future.  Fear, then, is the opposite of faith.  Fear and faith are equal.  They both project into the future and both demands to be fulfilled.  Bottom line is: which authority are you going to listen to.

What Makes Fear a Sin?

God’s Word tells us over 365 times to “fear not.”  By entertaining the spirit of fear, your actions are saying you cannot trust God and you have to take control of your own life. Fear is sin.

Traumas and Doorpoints

God has set parameters of protection around mankind against Satan.  Yet, there are ways he can get a foothold.  They are called doorpoints or entry points.  Traumas and doorpoints are the incidences in your life giving entry to these bad roots.  These points of entry could be in your own life or in your family tree.

Different phases or event of life bring their own traumas.  Doorpoints around birth and early childhood could be issues of abandonment in the event of unwanted pregnancy.  This allows the spirit of rejection to enter into the unborn child.  Rejection can lead to self-hatred, self-rejection, self-condemnation, and questioning their self-worth.  When parents’ divorce (50% divorce rate), children question their own worth and this may give entry to unloving spirits.  Due to sickness, we may engage in alternative therapies, and/or addictions.

Rejection and abandonment by the father and many cases the mother is trauma.  Most have had hundreds traumas as a result of the unloving parents and they have to be addressed in ministry to undo the harm.

Addiction Ministry – Things to Look For – This requires us to become a detective and ask questions so that we can determine the entry points or roots so that we can bring people out of captivity, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound Isaiah 61:1

******First and foremost, we must ask the Holy Spirit to guide us as we minister to the person, Jeremiah 33:3******

1.)    Was the child born out of wedlock?

2.)    Was the pregnancy wanted

3.)    Is there a generational history of the above? May need to break the generational curses.

4.)    Determine any generational addictions that may have to be broken.

5.)    What was the role of the father in the family?

6.)    Did the father bring wrath and anger to their child?

7.)    Did the father say these words “I love you” as they were growing up?

8.)    Was the Father the spiritual head of the family or did the mother make all the decisions.

9.)    List all traumas emotionally and physically.

10.) List all offenses and lead the person in a forgiveness prayer towards the offender.

11.) Lead them in a prayer of forgiveness of self for self-hatred, self-rejection, regrets, anger and for not loving self.

12.)  Have them confess to God all their sins, ask God to forgive them, and ask God to help them to repent.

This is a short but critical list that needs to be followed.  The Holy Spirit can or will bring revelation to the ministry team.

If we love ourselves the way God loves us, we would not have to fill that void of not feeling loved with addictions.  Feeling unloved is an anti-Christ spirit.  The unloving spirit is rooted in fear and only God’s perfect love can cast out fear (1 John 4:18).  Not mankind?

Generational Sin

Generational Sin – They have turned back to the iniquities (sin) of their forefathers who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them…Jeremiah 11:10

There are way too many generational sins manifesting in the present generation causing havoc in the form of sickness and disease.  Especially, in the children.  Any time I see disease in children, I believe it can point to generational sin.

Generational Curse definition – to pronounce judgement. “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you, Deuteronomy 28:1.  The rest of the chapter goes on to describe what sickness and diseases that will result from our disobedience (sin).

Generational Sin definition – an immoral act considered to be a transgression against God. Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation,” Exodus 34:7 Sins in this passage follows the generational line.

Generational Sin can be passed down the family line. In other words, we are born with iniquities (sin), transgressions (sin), and trespasses (sin), (Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me, Psalm 51:5). Not only do we have to break the generational sin from past generations, confess it as sin, and ask forgiveness for the past generations, we must also confess the generational sin that we have partaken with from past generations, and ask God to forgive us.  This is called repentance.

Unfortunately, most do not address past and present generational sin.  I have heard from people and pastors, numerous times that because Jesus died on the cross for our sins, past, present, and future, we are forgiven. They preach the grace (once forgiven, always forgiven) message.  If this is true, why is the Body of Jesus Christ still getting sick?  It is false doctrine. Paul’s message in Romans 6:1 says What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

Does the grace message trump repentance?  Should we continue to sin and believe there will not be consequences? There are instructions in the Bible on what to do when we sin.  We are called to repent.  That is why it says in God’s Word 100 times to repent. It is very clear why we must repent because our disobedience will result in sickness and disease.

Our generational sin has been there since conception through DNA and we were born with the sins of the generations that can go back many generations.  Through our lives we have become one with the sins of the generations.  In other words, we don’t really know its there until the past of generational and present sins manifest resulting in sickness and disease. The only way to eradicate this generational sin is through repentance because it is sin.  God’s promise in His Word is we WILL be cleansed from sin and healed of our sickness and disease. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (generational and present sin). James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

Fortunately, there is prayer to be released from generational curses/sin in Jesus Christ’s Name.

Prayer: Father God, in Jesus Christ’s Name, I confess the iniquities and trespasses of the past generations as sin.  I am very sorry for the past generational sins and I ask You to forgive their sins. Father God, in Jesus Christ’s name, I confess the generational sin I was born with as sin.  I am very sorry for allowing myself to be a partaker of generational sin and I ask You to forgive me.  I ask You to help me repent because I cannot do this on my own. Through the Blood of Jesus Christ and repentanc, I know I can I be delivered from all generational and present sin.  AMEN!

Generational sin has been working in us for decades and healing is not always immediate. The reason is we have to build up our faith and pray continually because we don’t have the faith of a mustard seed, So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you, Matthew 7:20.  Continue to pray this prayer until there is a healing breakthrough.                     Tony Sanchez 2-12-21

Fear

Fear – (worry, stress anxiety, panic, terror, nervous, afraid, dread, alarm, fright, trepidation)

Fear definition: an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger; an instance of this emotion; a state marked by this emotion; to be afraid of; expect with alarm. Synonyms for fear: alarm, anxiety, dread, fearfulness, fright, horror, panic, scare, terror, trepidation, stress, nervousness, uneasy, alarm, dread, distress, wary, anxiety, phobia, and worry.

God gave us emotions to help us. The emotion fear was intended to alert us to danger so that we may respond by our fight or flight abilities. Fighting fear means you battle to take your peace by overcoming fear.  Flight means that you don’t stand up to fear and it can end up being one with you.  Constant fear will control you and put you in bondage.

Studies show that anxiety and stress are as detrimental to the heart health as are cholesterol, smoking and others.  You must get rid of your worries, stresses, anxieties, and fears because they are detrimental to your health. Fear weakens your immune system leaving you at risk of immune diseases.

Fear, stress and anxiety probably account for at least 50 to 70 percent of all diseases known to mankind according to Dr. Henry Wright. What people do not realize is that fear, stress, and anxiety many times are coupled with the Unloving Spirit.  What that means is a person fears not being loved by parents, siblings, self, others, and God.

The Mind-Body Connection

The hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal is the facilitator of the mind-body connection.  For every thought you have, conscious or unconscious, there is a corresponding chemical, hormone, neurotransmitter, or neuropeptide that secretes somewhere in your body to respond to that thought.  Fear can cause the body to become out of balance.

But, if there is a departure from normal because of spiritual problems, it is called disease.  Something that God created to function has been perverted and it is now malfunctioning most of the time through hyposecretion (under) or hypersecretion (over) of body chemicals.

Much of fear and panic is caused by the hypersecretion of hormones.  The amygdala (a little ball of nerves in the brain that detects fear) triggers and regulates fear responses and sets the whole fight or flight reaction into motion.  When the stressor is gone and the fight or flight reaction consistently extends beyond its normal recovery time due to long-term fear and anxiety, it carries over into the Resistance Stage.

Resistance Stage

The Resistance stage is where you are geared up all the time to face this invisible enemy of fear. Certain part of your body that needed to maintain homeostasis (balance) are no longer functioning because your body has been told there is an enemy.  So, you are geared up, wrestling this enemy of fear all the time.  After a while, you wonder why you are worn out.

The Exhaustion Stage

Constant exposure to fear will produce hopelessness and despair. Also know as depression.  How do I know this?  God’s Word tells us in Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.  Years of exposure to depression will produce oppression (sense of being weighed down in body or mind).  Also know as a stupor (a state of extreme apathy-lack feeling/emotion or torpor-a state of lowered physiological activity typically characterized by reduced metabolism, heart rate, respiration, and body temperature that occurs in varying degrees resulting often from stress or shock). The Bible describes this condition in Romans 11:8 God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, to this very day” which describes feeling lethargic as it relates to, or characterized by laziness, procrastination, and lack of energy.

Fear Topics

Traumas – Traumas and the stressor tied to them come in all sizes from the littlest trauma to the biggest.  Each of us has had a constant lifetime exposure to traumas of all sizes that affect our physical and emotional well-being leading to what the medical field calls PTSD.  A lifetime of fears from traumas piles up leading to emotional sickness and physical disease.  Traumas and the fears attached to traumas will stay with us until we receive ministry to eradicate them.

Generation Fears can be passed down the family line. In other words, we are born with fears, which is sin, (Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me, Psalm 51:5). Not only do we have to break the generational fears from past generations and confess it as sin, we must also confess the generational sin that we have partaken in from past generation, and ask God to forgive us.  This is called repentance.

Unloving Spirit – 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.  Fear is an unclean spirit.

Unfortunately, an Unloving spirit will have Fear working with it. The Fear is the fear of not being loved or a fear of not being worthy to be loved. They combine with anger to bring torment to you.

To be free of fear, you must be able to receive God’s love and feel safe in it, regardless of whether anyone loves you or not.  God loves you.  An Unloving spirit and the spirit of Fear are antichrists spirits because they debate and dethrone the Word of God in your life.

When God says He loves you and you say you are not loved, you call God a liar.  When God says “fear not,” yet you continue to fear, you are calling God a liar again. The phrases “fear not” or “do not fear” are found in the Bible more than 350 different times.  Do you think God is trying to tell us something?

You MUST resolve the tact that you belong here on this planet and you MUST believe that God placed you here for a reason.  You are going to have to believe the Word of God!  You are not an accident!  You were known from the foundation of the world.

Yet, you say you are not loved?  You need to get a reality check.  It is time you leave the lies of the past behind and start believing you are worthy to be loved. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him, 1 John 4:16.

Constricted vessels are the narrowing of the vessels because of fear causing the heart to have to pump harder resulting in high blood pressure, blood clots, migraines, reduced hair growth, circulations issues and numbness to name a few.

Contraction of the muscles, tendons, and ligaments A contraction is activation of tension within the fibers of the muscles, tendon, or ligaments. It begins when the nervous system generates a signal that causes a contraction and can be summed up in three ways: (1) A message travels from the nervous system to the muscular system, triggering chemical reactions. (2) The chemical reactions lead to the fibers reorganizing the muscles, tendons, and ligaments.  That is the contraction.  (3).  When the nervous system signal is not longer present, the chemical process reverses, and the muscles, tendons, and ligaments relax.

Unfortunately, many times we are in constant fear causing the muscles, tendons, and ligaments to be contracted   perpetually leading to muscle cramps/spasms/pain, tightness, tears, severed, muscles, and tendons.

A good example of this is the NFL and their players during COVID.  There was a great increase in injuries due to the fears the players manifested within themselves.  Fear of not playing, fear of not getting a paycheck, fear of being isolated from families during the season, fear of infecting family or friends, fear of performing, and the list goes on.  So, their muscles, tendons, and ligaments are so tight, it resulted in many injuries in football and the other sports.

These fears did not allow them to “play loose” as they say in the athletic world.  Meaning, they were not able to perform at 100% of their abilities.  These same fears did not allow their mind to process at 100%.  Fear causes confusion and it is not from God, 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Once fear is reduced, it allows them to slow down the game.  Fear is from the enemy and it has to be cast out, which is a big part of our ministry, and the ministry of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:17), whether it be athletics or common folk.  We have been very successful because this is what God has promised, but it is a process and it doesn’t happen overnight.  A person has to change their habits of stress, anxiety, worry (fear).

Plantar Fasciitis is the result of fear contracting the tendon resulting in miniscule tears causing pain.  Fear is nesting in this area of the foot.

Lower back pain is the result of fear contracting muscles, tendons and ligaments.  Fear is nesting in this part of the body. 99% of the time we find the left leg shorter than the right leg.  This means they are out of alignment due to fear.

Erectile Disfunction – ED can result from emotions (fear, stress, anxiety, depression), clogged and narrowing of the blood vessels. Knowing what causes ED is not complicated.  Fear will cause the vessels to narrow restricting blood flow as in any part of the body.  With men, a lifetime of fears not addressed can result in ED.  ED causes marriage issues because the man has fears of not being able to perform making it worse.

Procrastination – A person who has depression and a worse condition called oppression causes a lethargic existence. Depression and oppression lead to procrastinate.  Many times, a person can barely get out of bed.  Every effort is extremely difficult and the more you ignore what has to be done, the more it causes additional fear.  It’s an endless cycle.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – GAD is characterized by persistent and excessive worry about a number of different things.  People with GAD may be fearful of future disasters that most often never happen.  They may be overly concerned about money, health, family, work or other issues. They may worry more than seems warranted about actual events or may expect the worst even when there is no apparent reason for concern.

The disorder comes on gradually and can begin across the life cycle, though the risk is highest between childhood and middle age. Sometimes just the thought of getting through the day produces anxiety.  They don’t know how to stop the worry cycle and feel it is beyond their control, even though they usually realize that their anxiety is more intense than the situation warrants.

Spirits of: fear (as in stress/anxiety) and anger. Many people feel rejected, unworthy, and unloved.  The father’s failure to say these simple words “I love you” early in a person’s one’s life has great impact on how one feels about their self.

Note: Many times, a single worry will trigger other worries to a point where they pile up causing greater fear. Eventually, a person becomes one with fear causing great bondage. Covid has caused GAD to increase substantially.

Fear of Not Being Loved - This is the number one fear most, if not all of us have to deal with and it does the most damage emotionally and physically.  Feeling unloved brings on rejection, abandonment, not feeling worthy, depression leading to oppression, feeling lethargic, and feeling unwanted.  Over time a person will experience extreme anger towards those who did not love them.  Not feeling loved is an offense resulting in un-forgiveness towards them. It produces self-rejection, self-hatred, anger at self, that results in a person beating themselves up emotionally and physically, ultimately, causing sickness and disease.  Feeling unloved compromises, the immune system.  Meaning, it dries the bones and the bone marrow that produces white T cells that fight off immune diseases, A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones, Proverbs 17:22.  Feeling unloved will produce envy, bitterness and jealousy because they love others more than they love you, A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones Proverbs 14:30.

Addictions – Fear is the major component in why we have addictions and its root cause is tied to not feeling loved!  We are not trusting the love of God to fill our loving needs.  We have relied on  man’s love that continually disappoints us over and over.  So, when we look to fill that loving void, we turn to things of this world such as alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, shopping, diet/exercising, eating, gambling, video games, work, internet, sports, social media, sex, phones, pornography, and many more. Many times, these addictions come down the generational line.

How do we combat fear and the symptoms associated with fear?

Fear is an unclean spirit and it needs to be addressed. You can command it to leave in Jesus name and you can repent of this fear.  Fear is sin and as with all sin in the Bible, we must repent.  Repent means to change our ways, but we need God’s help.  Below is a basic repentance prayer.

Father God, I confess my fears_____ as sin. I am very sorry and I ask You to forgive me.  I choose to repent with your help in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Consistently repent of any sin and God’s promises is that Jesus will take on your sin, which leads to healing.

Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions (sin), He was bruised for our iniquities (sin); The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed…

Number one reason we are not being healed is we fail to confess our sin, we fail to ask God to forgive us, and we fail to repent CONSISTANTLY.

The medical field and mankind have not been able to heal anyone from fear.  They feed you drugs, advise counselling, diet, exercise, and yoga (meditation) and self-help to name a few. Yet, the fear and the symptoms from fear continue to keep us in captivity.

The greatest responsibility of a father is to convey the love of God the Father to their children and wife with these simple words, “I Love You” over and over and over again.  This is a declaration to all the heavenlies.

I pray you will be blessed with this information so that you and others can out of captivity.  Tony Sanchez 2-12-21

Sickness and Disease – Where does it originate from?

The medical world has an entire book on sickness and disease, the Merk Manual, but knows very little about the roots of sickness and disease and even less on how to heal most of these sicknesses and diseases in this book.  The medical world treats the symptoms.

Even Christian ministries have little success in the area of sickness and disease.  Most often they pray for the symptoms and don’t know where sickness and disease originate from.  Symptoms are not sin.  They are the aftereffect of the sin

So, where can one find this information about the roots of sickness and disease?  Very complicated process if we look to man for this information.  But we can choose to search the Scriptures which are quite basic.

I want to take you to Deuteronomy 28 (see Leviticus 26 as well) where it talks about blessings and curses:

Blessings – Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God

To summarize these verses, God wants us to obey Him and not to sin so that we can receive His blessings.

Curses15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: 16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. 17 “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 18 “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body (Offspring) and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. 20 “The Lord will send on you cursing (including generational and spoken), confusion (Chaos, unsound mind, God is not the author of confusion 1 Cor 14:33), and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness (Iniquities) of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. 21 The Lord will make the plague (Infectious disease) cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with consumption (Wasting away of the body, Tuberculosis), with fever (symptom of sickness and disease), with inflammation (swelling, aches, pains), with severe burning fever (diseases which fever is a prominent symptom), with the sword, with scorching (Dehydration), and with mildew (is a fungus that can cause illness and disease) ; they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze (Dryness and hardness), and the earth which is under you shall be iron (hard and impenetrable). 24 The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed. 25 “The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth. 26 Your carcasses shall be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and no one shall frighten them away. 27 The Lord will strike you with the boils (Infected hair follicles) of Egypt, with tumors (Cancer), with the scab (Immune system skin disorders), and with the itch (Excessive histamine secretion or Psoriasis), from which you cannot be healed (Psoriasis). 28 The Lord will strike you with madness (Calamity and Mental Illness), and (Spiritual) blindness (Spirit of Stupor Romans 11:8) and confusion of heart (Disorderly). 29 And you shall grope (searching blindly) at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you. 58 “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD, 59 then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues—great and prolonged plagues—and serious and prolonged sicknesses. 61 Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 You shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God.

Summary of Curses: These verses identify some sicknesses and diseases from sin (disobedience), but also includes “every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed” in verse 61. This means every sickness and disease that is a result of mankind’s sin.

So, as believers in Jesus Christ, what can we do to be healed of these sicknesses and diseases?  The Bible promises us healing for all sicknesses and diseases including curses passed down through the past generations. Generational sin is quite evident in mankind. Deuteronomy 5: you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity (wickedness) of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me.  Most often we fail to address the sins of the past generations in ministry.

Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Mark 16:18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

So, why is the Body of Christ not being healed?

The Bible has all the answers and it is not complicated.  Key to healing is to look at the sin that is causing our sickness and disease.  Fear causes circulatory and air passages to constrict, high blood pressure, migraine headaches, insomnia, sleep apnea, backaches, and cramps, to name a few. Un-forgiveness (bitterness) and anger compromise the immune system (Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones, Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones). The bones are where the blood marrow is produced.  Blood marrow is where the white T cells are produced to fight off sickness and diseases.  Some of the characteristics of Un-forgiveness is arthritis, anger, and rejection. Mental illness is a sickness and something we all have experienced at one level or another.  Example:  Have you ever felt a little down?  This is called depression (hopelessness and despair), which is mental illness.  These are just a few of the multitude of sins that causes sickness and disease.

“And by His strips, we are healed.”  Jesus died for our sins and once we are saved these past sins are forgiven, but believers get trapped into thinking the “once forgiven, always forgiven” mentality applies to all past, present, and future sins. That is not what the Bible says.

Ask yourself then, why do you have sinful thoughts desires, and thoughts.  Why do you worry and get angry?  Is this not sin? People forget that each new sin is not automatically forgiven.  There are over 100 verses in the Old and New Testament that instructs us to repent.  God tells five of the seven churches to repent of their sins in Revelation.  If all sin is forgiven because Jesus died and took on our sin, why do we need to repent? Jesus takes on our sin IF we confess our sin and ask God to forgive us.  How can the body of Christ get this so wrong?  The conditions of blessings and curses are set in Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26.  It’s about obedience (not sinning) and disobedience (sin).

Just what is repentance?  Repentance is turning away from sin and is something we cannot do on our own power.  It is a process and it requires that we confess our sin (be specific and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal hidden sin) to Our Father God, tell Him how sorry we are, ask Him to forgive us for our sin and help us to change our ways (repent).  Only then, can our sin be washed away by the blood of Jesus for our sins, “By His strips, we are healed.”

Summary: If Deuteronomy 28:15-68 tell us our sickness and diseases are from disobedience, which is sin, and repentance is the key to eradicating sin by the blood of Jesus, then, we will have healing according to God’s Word.  God’s Word is truth.

It may sound basic and it really is, but it is a lot of work in that we must repent each and every day because we sin every day.  We cannot let mountains of sin build up by waiting weeks and months to pass before we repent. Tony Sanchez 9-25-20
