Separation – Is this the root cause of sickness and disease?
So, what
is the root cause of many of our diseases?
The root cause of 80 percent of sickness and disease is spiritual and is
the result of separation on three levels according Henry Wright:
1.
Seperation from God – from His person, His love, and His Word.
2.
Seperation from yourself.
3.
Seperation from others
You need
to follow this closely because these separations are the spiritual root of so
many sicknesses and diseases that plague us.
If 80 percent of all sicknesses and diseases involves these separations,
then 80 percent of all healing begins with reconciliation with God (Son, and
Holy Spirit), reconciliation with yourself, and reconciliation with others.
***If we
have separation with any of these three levels, we have to look at sin in our
lives that is causing separation.
Separation
from God
Mankind,
including Christians, are diseased first of all because we are separated from
God, His Word, and His love. We must
realign ourselves with God, and we must embrace the truth of the Father’s love
for us. Do you think the Father would
have sent His Son to die for us if He didn’t love us? For God
so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have everlasting life, John 3:16. Jesus showed us the deep love of the Father
by dying on the cross for our eternal redemption, And Jesus cried out again
with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit Matthew 27:50. The Bible assures us of God’s love: 1 John
4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love and 1 John
4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love,
and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. To be free and healed, you must believe
God’s Word that He truly loves you and that you are special in His eyes. Sin does not allow us to hear or see (discernment)
things that are coming from God.
***Separation
from God is the result of un-belief and sin.
Separation
from Ourselves
There are
millions of people who have battled intensely with self-hatred, self-loathing,
self-bitterness, self-pity, guilt, shame, regrets, self-condemnation, sorrow, and
not feeling loved or appreciated, which leads to depression (hopelessness and
despair). Satan will try to convince you
of these lies. These feelings are
deep-rooted lies from Satan that carry with them many disorders, especially
autoimmune diseases. If this is your struggle,
you must learn to accept yourself in your relationship with God and love
yourself as God sees you (“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you;
abide in My love John 15:9). Not
embracing the deception of self-hatred (extreme dislike of self) and guilt of
not measuring up. God loves you! He declares it in His Word. Do not deny the truth of His love for you by
believing the lies of the enemy, others, and yourself.
***If you
have separation from self, you are also separated from God.
Separation
from Others
Separation
from others opens the door wide to spiritually rooted diseases. The Word cautions us in Hebrews 12:15:
looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of
bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled. Most often, we push people away or
distance ourselves because people have hurt us even though we have trusted them
to do good. We have trusted and tried to
please mankind instead of God and mankind has failed us, I t is better to
trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man Psalm 118:8. So, who do we
trust? God of course! In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What
can man do to me? Isaiah 56:11.
In most
cases, you will find un-forgiveness, bitterness, envy, jealousy, rejection, anger,
feeling unloved and a level of animosity when there is separation from others. This is present with spouses who put up walls
and withdraw (separating) from one another resulting in a marriage devoid of compassion,
kindness, and love that leads to a divorce rate of more than 40%. Separation
can be with family members, friends, co-workers, government, church, minority
groups, and sisters & brothers in Jesus Christ. Separation can cause one to withdraw totally
with little to no interaction with anyone leaving them in a lonely world of
darkness.
Separation
from others becomes a root deep inside us that defiles those around you, causes
your soul to be in captivity, and makes your body very susceptible to
disease. Make peace with your brothers
and sisters, and anyone else who have injured you. Then Jesus said “Father, forgive them, for
they do not know what they do” Luke 23:34.
We must repair these breeches before the process of reconciliation
can begin, Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall
raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the
Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In Isaiah 58:12.
The
difference between separation from God and yourselve is there can be two
parties involved when you yourself have separation from others. You being separate from others due to
offenses and hurts by them. The other
party being separate from you for offenses or hurts you caused them even though
you may not have known there were issues.
So we have unresolved issues that will not allow reconciliation.
Since the
beginning, when God created Adam, He never intended mankind to be alone, And
the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a
helper comparable to him,” Genesis 2:18, And the Lord God caused a deep sleep
to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the
flesh in its place, Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made
into a woman, and He brought her to the man Genesis 2:21-22. When you
separate yourself from others, you are contrary to what God had in mind when He
created Adam and Eve.
We need
each other. The church needs good sons
and daughters of the Father. We need each
other’s love. We need each other’s prayers. We need each other’s faith. We each other’s support. We are not the same
without each other. We are part of
Christ’s body, and we need others to be a part of one another.
***If you
are separated from others, you are separated from God and His design for people
to be in fellowship with one another.
In all
three of these spiritual separations, the enemy of our soul finds a place to
bring destruction, because the thief does not come except to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may
have it more abundantly John 10:10. When we embrace the enemy’s lies, we
end up suffering at his hands. The Bible warns us not to be “ignorant of his
devices” 2 Corinthians 2:11. The word “devices” means methods or practices
Satan uses to try and destroy us. We
need to know how the enemy is doing it.
We need to understand his devices so that we can cut him off at the pass
in your life.
How does
separation from God, yourself and others, affect your autoimmune system? All of the above affects your bones and the
marrow in your bones that produces the white blood cells called T lymphocytes
(also called T cell and thymocyte). They
are part of the immune system and develop from stem cells in the bone marrow.
They help protect the body from infection and helps fight cancer and other
autoimmune diseases.
So, bitterness,
self-bitterness, un-forgiveness, accusations, criticism, slander,
pride-fulness, arrogance, envy, jealousy, hatred, self-hatred, fear, anxiety
and stress, anger, (hostility, wrath, animosity), rejection, guilt, shame,
condemnation, self-condemnation, unloving spirits, hate, self-hatred,
occultism, addictions, and many more, causes the immune system to be
compromised. These sins and others dry
the bones, meaning the marrow cannot produce white T cells to fight off
sickness and disease. Don’t take my word.
Let the Word of God speak to us.
What does
the Bible have to say about sin affecting our bones with regard to sickness and
disease?
Psalm 6:2
Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are
troubled.
Psalm
38:3 There is no soundness in my flesh Because of Your anger, Nor any health in
my bones Because of my sin.
Psalm
102:3 For my days are consumed like smoke, And my bones are burned like a
hearth.
Proverbs
12:4 An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, But she who causes shame is
like rottenness in his bones.
Proverbs
14:30 A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones.
Habakkuk 3:16 When I heard, my body trembled; My lips
quivered at the voice; Rottenness entered my bones; And I trembled in myself,
That I might rest in the day of trouble.
What does the Bible say about healthy bones?
Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the
Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your
bones.
Proverbs 15:30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
And a good report makes the bones healthy.
Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you continually, And
satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a
watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Isaiah 66:14 When you see this, your heart shall rejoice,
And your bones shall flourish like grass; The hand of the Lord shall be known
to His servants, And His indignation to His enemies.
Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of His body, of His
flesh and of His bones.
The roots of disease are the elements of Satan’s kingdom
of darkness. Satan will do everything
he can to bring in bitterness, self-bitterness, un-forgiveness, depression
(hopelessness, despair), accusations, criticism, slander, pride-fulness,
arrogance, envy, jealousy, fear (anxiety, stress,), anger (hostility, wrath,
animosity), rejection, guilt, shame, condemnation, self-condemnation, unloving
spirits, hate, self-hatred, self-pity, murmuring and complaining, rebellion,
occultism and addictions. These are many
of the sins that cause separation from God, yourself, and others. But God has given us divine power and
precious promises to escape the corruption of this world that prevents lapses
(sin) that lead to sickness and disease.
2 Peter 1:3-11 as His divine power has given to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us
by glory and virtue, by which have been
given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may
be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the
world through lust. But also, for this
very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue
knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to
perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly
kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you
will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ. For he who lacks these things is
shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from
his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be
even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these
things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to
you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A basic conclusion is this: A person who desires to
separates themselves from who God is and what God has created (self and others)
leads to sickness, disease, and even death. A man who isolates himself seeks his own
desire; He rages against all wise judgment Proverbs 18:1 NKJV. People who do not get along with others are
interested only in themselves; they will disagree with what everyone else knows
is right. Proverbs 18:1 GNT
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and
slander, as well as all types of evil behavior, Ephesians 4:31.
What next? You
must rid yourself of your false doctrine because it isn’t working and take the
following steps to repair your relationship with God, self, and others.
1. Confess your sins to God. If we confess our sins, He
is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness 1 John 1:9
2. Ask God for forgiveness.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors Mathew 6:12.
3. REPENT! Ask God to help you repent because you cannot do
this on your own. Therefore, leaving
the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to
perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and
of faith toward God, Hebrews 6:1.
4. Ask God His forgiveness for being separated from Him.
5. Forgive yourself for separating yourself from self.
6. Forgive those who have offended you to the point that you
have separated yourself from them. Love
prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends, Proverbs
17:9 NLT. Colossians 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another,
if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you
also must do.
7. Start declaring your love to God and all those people who
you have separated yourself from.
Declare you love for yourself, For I am persuaded that neither death
nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor
things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be
able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord,
Romans 8:38-39.
8. Reach out to God to repair the damage caused by your
choice to separate from God.
9. Reach out to others to repair the damages by both you and
them because of your choice to separate from them.
10. Sing praises to the Lord. O Lord, You are my
God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful
things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth Isaiah 25:1.
Sin is THE block to healing from sickness and disease.
